Simran Kaur likes to play south Indian characters
Making her Telugu debut opposite Manchu Manoj in Potugadu, Punjabi girl Simran Kaur Mundi says the reason the she accepted the role is because she is essaying a pucca south Indian girl in the film. She adds that she got to wear half sari and gajras and plats, which she claims to have never experienced as a Punjabi.

She basically liked the idea of transforming herself into a Brahmin girl in the film, and she is glad that she got the opportunity. Simran, who started her career as a model, says that modelling doesn help actors earn some fame in the industry, but eventually’s its one’s talent that will keep him or her active in the industry.

Having wrapped up Potugadu, Simran hasn’t signed any new project in Telugu, while in Hindi she is busy with a film with Bejoy Nambiar. I’m hearing to scripts in Telugu and would sign a few films sooner or later.
