SJ Suryah Tortures Director for 2 Years? Truth?

SJ Suryah

The movie Jinn, starring Mukesh Rao, released on May 30, but its launch was overshadowed by controversy. Director T. R. Bala publicly accused actor-director S. J. Suryah deceived him and wasted nearly two years during their collaboration on the film’s story.

Bala explained that they had multiple meetings and made many changes together. However, after Suryah’s recent big success, his attitude reportedly changed.

At a key meeting to start the film, Suryah questioned Bala’s understanding of cinema and said he was not fit for the project. Feeling hurt, Bala decided to produce and direct the film himself.

Suryah responded by sharing a screenshot of their messages, stating he liked the story but did not approve the screenplay or dialogues. He also said he could not commit to the project and suggested Bala find another actor.

Adding to the tension, actor R. S. Karthik accused Bala of cheating a producer during another film’s production.

On social media, many defended Suryah, describing him as a liberal and kind person who supports projects unless he is truly unsatisfied with the screenplay. They argue it’s unreasonable to blame him when he refuses to back a script he doesn’t like.

In short, the dispute centers on creative differences and communication breakdowns, resulting in public accusations and conflict during the making of Jinn.
