And now once again the ‘Satyameva Jayathe’ preacher came under scanner for endorsing a brand which is selling medicines illegally. We are aware that Aamir Khan is the brand ambassador of online shopping portal Snapdeal. The latest, a case has been filed against Snapdeal for selling medicines online without prescription.
As per the existing laws, selling medicines without prescription is illegal and Aamir Khan is the person who gave wide exposure to the issues of medical scams and selling medicines illegally without prescriptions. His social activist’s avatar programme ‘Sayameva jayate’ discussed in length about the issue and created awareness among the people.
So a person who spoke widely on the medical issues and said that he did a lot of researching the facts on the controversial points, is now endorsing a brand which is going against the same moral and legal policing Aamir Khan has been associated with. Naturally he is being branded a hyprocrite and being questioned on turning deaf ear for the sake of earning money endorsing such brands.
