There is a lot of debate on reviews appearing on various media after a film releases in theaters. To be frank, the opinion of directors on reviews is negative. But the debutante director Kalyan Krishna of ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ fame seems to be having a different one.

He says reviews are necessary because they tell what is good and bad in a film and that gives scope for improvement for the directors. ‘It’s true that 70% of the audiences come to theatre after reading the reviews and not all of them are intentionally negative,’ says the director.
After a blockbuster like SCN, the young film maker is going to do his next for Annapurna Studios. The talk says he will work with Nag again but it might be with Chaitu or Akhil also. After emerging a clear winner in the Sankranthi race, Kalyan Krishna’s handling of a simple subject is lauded by critics and audiences alike.
