Shocking Rumor on Spirit: Fans Taking it Even Worse?

Spirit film poster controversy online reactions

The first poster of Spirit arrived as a New Year gift, but it also triggered disturbing online reactions. Instead of discussing the film, sections of the audience pushed the conversation toward extreme and unsettling claims.

A video circulating on social media claims insider knowledge about a rumoured scene. It alleges the lead heroine urinates in her clothes due to the male protagonist’s extreme anger. The video says this moment forms part of the film’s narrative.

In response, some fans said this was “not enough.” They demanded scenes involving rape, paedophilia, and sodomy to provoke feminists. They openly called for cruelty towards women and mocked those who questioned such thinking.

These users went further and suggested feminists disappear during the film’s release. They urged them to stay offline so they would not see what the film shows. The comments shocked many viewers following the discussion.

Other users pushed back and questioned the influence of director Sandeep Reddy Vanga on such fans. They asked if this behaviour defines so-called alpha masculinity and why open disrespect towards women gets defended as style.

You cannot ignore creative freedom, but creators also shape audience behaviour. When films glorify violence, non-consensual acts, and objectification, they normalise them. This mindset spills into real life, where women face abuse, disrespect, and sexualisation daily.
