Telugu actress Sreeleela seems to be taking a bold new turn in her career. Once one of Tollywood’s busiest heroines, she now appears to be shifting her focus beyond Telugu cinema, especially towards Bollywood.
Reports suggest that Sreeleela has already signed two to three Hindi films. Sources also say she finds young Bollywood heroes more promising compared to working mainly with older Telugu stars like Ravi Teja.
At the same time, she is maintaining strong connections with Kannada and Tamil filmmakers, showing her determination to expand across multiple industries. Telugu producers are still in touch, but her growing interest in other languages has become evident.
Recently, Sreeleela announced a women-centric film a rare move for an actress still early in her career. This decision reflects her confidence and desire to build an identity beyond conventional commercial roles.
However, industry insiders caution that such a strategy could be risky, as she may lose traditional heroine roles opposite leading stars if the experiment fails.
Reports indicate that the director of this upcoming project could be Milind Rau, known for Aval, Netrikann, and the OTT series The Village. Although his decade-long career has been mixed, Aval remains his most acclaimed work.
The project is still under discussion, and Sreeleela has not officially confirmed Milind Rau’s involvement yet.
