Srikanth Odela’s The Paradise is carrying huge expectations. The Nani starrer is finally locked for September 24 after going through multiple changes to its release plan.
The film has also taken longer than expected to complete, with the production and post-production work stretching for months. Reports indicate that the extended shoot has pushed the budget beyond the initial plans, making the theatrical performance even more important.
That experience will matter for Odela’s next film.
He is set to direct Megastar Chiranjeevi, a project that will naturally come with a much bigger scale and much higher financial stakes.
Odela has to be more careful with the Chiranjeevi film, particularly when it comes to controlling the budget and completing the production within the planned schedule. A big star film can afford scale, but prolonged production can quickly increase costs.
For now, The Paradise is his immediate test. A strong result will give Odela the confidence and momentum to step into the Chiranjeevi project.
But the bigger responsibility starts there. Odela will have to prove that he can handle a Megastar film not just creatively, but also with better control over its scale, schedule and budget.
