Koratala Siva and Mahesh Babu’s ‘Srimanthudu’ promoted the noble campaign of adopting villages and making them a better place to live in. But once the buzz on the film subsided, celebrities forgot about adopting villages.

However, stylish villain Sonu Sood of ‘Arundhati’ fame proved he isn’t one of them. He has now adopted one of the villages in Punjab, Bahona where people have a lot of problems because of lack of clean and hygienic drinking water.
So, Sonu Sood is trying to give safe drinking water to the villagers of Bahona by providing water purifiers. People suffer from water-borne diseases in this area because of unavailability of safe and purified drinking water. This initiative is a welcome change to the villagers. Professionally, Sonu is riding high acting alongside Jackie Chan in ‘Kungfu Yoga’.
