He has undoubtedly joined the top league of South Indian directors with nationwide appeal.

However, true to his work style, Sukumar remained deeply involved in Pushpa 2’s production until the last minute and was completely absent from promotion and interviews.
In fact, he didn’t even sit down for a single interview for Pushpa 2. Instead, Allu Arjun took charge of the film’s promotions, putting in all the effort and ultimately walking away with most of the credit. Since Pushpa is a character-driven film, the spotlight was naturally more on Allu Arjun than its creator, Sukumar.

Interestingly, yesterday Sukumar was spotted at the India vs. Pakistan cricket match in Dubai, with visuals and photos circulating online.
