There is a buzz in the Tamil Film Industry that Suriya’s eight-year-old son Dev is going to make his debut into movies in an upcoming movie to be produced y their home banner ‘2D Entertainment’. The production banner has called for the audition of kids from 6 to 8-year-old range for their upcoming project, Production No.8.
It’s said that Suriya was mighty impressed with the script which tells the story of an eight-year-old boy’s relationship with his puppy, an emotional drama. Though there is no official confirmation from Suriya or his family, the buzz has got it that, Dev will be seen playing the pivotal role in the movie. Movies with child themes are very rare and they only come once in a while.
In the past, we have seen Suriya’s interest in making films with kids. He produced and acted in ‘Memu’ (‘Pasanga 2′ in Tamil), a sensible movie that talks about kids’ and how they need to be understood. The movie won critical acclaim and it is one of the suggested movies for teachers and also a suggested movie by the parent counsellors for parents. When Dev would be playing a part in Suriya’s next production, we are expecting a true children’s movie in the making.
