After ‘NOTA’ opened with mixed talk all over from the premiere shows, one thing that struck in our minds was about our Telugu heroes’ and their Tamil ventures. Be it a superstar like Mahesh Babu or a natural star like Nani, none of them could leave a mark in Kollywood and put a base in the Tamil market.

Mahesh Babu’s bilingual ‘Spyder’ was a disaster. Nani’s bilinguals ‘Veppam’, ‘Jenda Pai Kapiraju’ and ‘Aaha Kalyanam’ took him nowhere and hence, he was back to doing Telugu films instead of traveling on two boats, together. While Daggubati Rana has been doing Tamil films, they were never full-fledged roles as a hero, just cameos or extended cameos except for the two installments of ‘Baahubali. Aadi, Sandeep Kishan and other small heroes are also into Tamil films but are back to Telugu.
Now, the crazy star, Vijay Deverakonda made his debut in Tamil with his bilingual ‘NOTA’. Going by the mixed talk from the opening shows, there would be nothing memorable for the crazy star or his rowdy fans from this Tamil debut. Our Telugu heroes’ Tamil ventures had turned bouncers that had bounced back on them.
