There is growing demand on social media, especially on Twitter from Mega fans, to take legal action against Hyderabad-based Telugu stand-up comedian Anudeep Katikala. The backlash intensified after his stand-up clips surfaced online, where he was seen mocking Pawan Kalyan’s divorce.
Many users have called his remarks insensitive, as he made jokes not just about Pawan Kalyan, but also about Ram Charan, Nandamuri Balakrishna and Jr. NTR. This has triggered strong reactions across fan bases, with even neutral audiences criticizing the tone of his comedy.
Fans are now demanding strict legal action, arguing that the content crosses the line of decency in the name of freedom of expression. Adding to the pressure, Janasena leader Sandeep Panchakarla has issued a warning, asking Anudeep Katikala to release a public video apology for what he called low-level and offensive comedy.
He also stated that if an apology is not issued, legal action will be pursued against the comedian.
How can you comment personally in the name of standup comedy on Telugu heros and in this video you commented on DCM @PawanKalyan
