This is a major milestone for Teja Sajja making him a surprising new entrant into the premium league. He now has two back-to-back big-league hits: HanuMan with $5 million and now Mirai at $3 million.
Crossing $3 million is no small feat, especially in today’s pan-India market where only a handful of films reach such numbers.
Typically, only top stars with massive budgets break into this range. Big titles like Devara ($6 million), Pushpa ($14 million), and Salaar ($9 million) dominate at this level. For most heroes today even $2 million is a tough mark to cross. Teja Sajja has achieved it twice, thanks to the strong scripts he picked and the quality of projects he committed to.
