Things are not looking too good for Pawan Kalyan and Sai Dharam Tej’s Bro, which is going to release on July 28. The promotional content, especially the songs, that has been unveiled has failed to ignite any kind of buzz for the film.
The two songs, Dear Markandeya and Jaanavule, have turned out to be disappointing. Thaman’s tunes are pretty generic and forgettable. Thaman gave such fantastic music for Pawan Kalyan’s Bheemla Nayak, which was also a remake like Bro. The title track, especially, generated tremendous buzz for the film. But nothing of that sort is happening in the case of Bro.
There is already very limited interest in the film, even among the hardcore Pawan Kayan fans, because of the remake factor, and now such pedestrian songs have further killed the excitement.
Maybe Thaman feels that Bro is not the film where he has to deliver his best. He wants to reserve his best for Mahesh Babu or Allu Arjun films, where there is scope for a wider reach. He might have thought he shouldn’t waste his better tunes on a remake film like BRO. So he just delivered music for Bro as a formality.
The makers of Bro have this huge challenge of coming up with better promotional content and strategies to increase the hype for Bro.
