Need Of Hour In Tollywood: Regional Stuff!

Tollywood stars embracing pan India trend

Tollywood seems deeply influenced by the pan-Indian wave. Every actor with a notable image is now chasing this trend, and the industry feels more compressed than ever before.

Top stars like Prabhas, Allu Arjun, Ram Charan, NTR, and Mahesh Babu are already leading the way. Meanwhile, younger actors such as Nani and Vijay Deverakonda are also jumping on the pan-India bandwagon.

Currently, very few directors or heroes are focusing solely on regional Telugu content. The growing crossover culture has made filmmakers think beyond local audiences, adapting their scripts to suit wider appeal.

These pan-India ambitions include calculated efforts to attract Tamil, Hindi, and other language viewers-not just Telugu moviegoers. This is why many young Telugu actors are aiming for broader, multi-lingual recognition.

Among directors, only a few like Anil Ravipudi seem committed to mass Telugu commercial cinema. Most others are chasing the pan-India hype, often neglecting the local flavour that once defined Tollywood.

The classic styles of Rajamouli, Vinayak, Puri Jagannadh, and Boyapati are rarely seen today. While audience preferences have certainly evolved, there’s still a need for high-energy entertainers like Sarrainodu, Pataas, or Dookudu every now and then.
