If rumors doing rounds in the Filmnagar are to be believed, theaters in both the Telugu States may be shut for some days. Buzz is that the Government has indicated to the industry to explore such an option as it is not safe for 100s of people to congregate at such places.
Also, there is a suggestion that it is not safe to shoot as well because there are a minimum of 200 people working on a shoot location and if it is an outdoor shoot, outside people will also come and see the shoot. Media Reports say that today evening Telugu Film Industry biggies will sit down in the Film Chamber and take a decision on these two issues.
Closing down the theaters and stalling the shoots will have a massive impact on the finances of various stakeholders. At the same time, it is not right to ignore the Government’s suggestion as well. Let us see what happens! Meanwhile, we have three small films – Palasa, Anukunnadhi Okati Ayinadhi Okati, and O Pittakatha releasing tomorrow.
In India, the affected number has reached 29 in India and in Telangana, it is two. Andhra Pradesh is fortunate enough until now. Meanwhile, 1080 beds will be readied on a war-footing at 22 teaching hospitals across Telangana in isolation wards that will have monitoring equipment, ventilators, nebulizers, etc
