Tollywood trends keep changing almost every few days and this time as it turns out, it’s the trend of having ‘special songs’ in their movies. These songs have proved to be successful in the past and they are now being considered as their “lucky mascots” in South film industry.
Popular and successful movies like ‘Mirchi’, ‘Naayak’, ‘Baadshah’, ‘Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde’ and the latest one ‘Balupu’ who made it super hit on the Box Office also feature these ‘special songs’. This new fever is now the reason for the increased number of movie buffs. Even the directors say that it is not a ‘forced insertion’ but an important ‘part of the script’.
However director Gopichand Malineni of ‘Balupu’ fame differs in these views and stated that in the recent past, movies with item songs which were big hits at the Box Office is just a co-incidence. He does admit that they increase the popularity of the movie and the actors which helps in making it a success.
