According to reports, the incident took place on August 27, a day after Toxic opened in theatres. The situation reportedly became difficult to control, with the audience heard shouting for their money back. The theatre owner then called the police, who arrived to bring the situation under control.
The exact theatre and the number of people involved have not been disclosed in the reports. So far, this appears to be an isolated incident involving a section of the audience rather than a widespread development across theatres.
Still, the video has caught attention because of the timing. Toxic had a massive opening of around Rs 101 crore net in India on Day 1, but the film then saw a sharp drop on Day 2, with collections estimated at around Rs 36 crore.
