The decision to shift the release date of Toxic to June has triggered major discussion among film fans. While the makers have not given a clear explanation, several rumours have circulated online about the reason behind the delay.
One claim suggested that Yash was unhappy after the team of Dhurandhar 2 announced their film for an Eid release. According to this theory, the competition between the two films led to the change in schedule.
However, an insider has dismissed these rumours and stated that Yash is actually excited about the sequel. The source said the actor enjoyed the first film and is eager to watch the next part. According to the insider, stories about rivalry are being spread to create unnecessary drama.
Another report has suggested a different reason behind the delay. An online post by Always Bollywood quoted insiders from Monster Mind Creations. They claimed that a special quality screening of Toxic was recently organised.
Yash reportedly attended the screening along with director Geetu Mohandas and several crew members. During the viewing, the actor was said to be unhappy with some aspects of the film. Reports claimed that the VFX work did not meet expectations.
The screening also revealed audio quality problems in a few scenes. These issues reportedly led to concerns about the overall technical quality. As a result, the team decided to make several improvements before the film’s final release.
Earlier, some fans had also criticised the release of the song Tabahi. Many viewers expected a lyrical video that included visuals from the film. According to insiders, the original plan included such a video.
However, the idea was dropped because the editing work was not ready. The team reportedly felt the material was not strong enough to present at that stage. This decision further added to the speculation about production issues.
Because of these technical concerns, the film will reportedly undergo re editing. Additional technical corrections are also expected before the final cut is completed. The makers want to ensure a better cinematic experience for audiences.
Many online users have asked the team to take more time if necessary. Fans have urged the producers to complete all work carefully before the June release. They believe a polished final product is more important than rushing the film.
Some viewers have also questioned the film’s box office prospects due to the ongoing issues. A few users recalled the struggles faced by films like Indian 2 and Hari Hara Veera Mallu after similar production problems.
With about four months remaining before the planned release, the team still has time to make improvements. It remains to be seen whether the final version of Toxic will satisfy audiences and perform strongly at the box office.
