The first look poster of the film came with the caption ‘why always the same story?’ which generated great curiosity on the film even though the actual poster design itself was meh. Today the trailer of the film is out and the instant reaction we get is ‘it’s all the same’.

At least based on the trailer there seems to be nothing fresh being offered in terms of storyline or emotion. We have seen it all in the previous films of director Imtiaz Ali. Still thanks to the background score and some funny dialogues, the lighter parts of the trailer manage to engage but the dramatic parts are fall from appealing. It also doesn’t help that the lead actor Ranbir Kapoor feels so labored. Deepika Padukone continues to work her charm.
Check out the trailer below. The film has music by AR Rahman and the last time the three (actor, director, musician) combined they gave a classic album Rockstar. It would be the first big test o decide the ultimate success of the film. Can the trio deliver?
