Sankranthi is one of the best seasons for film releases without doubt and many big films try to grab the release slot well in advance. Coming to Tollywood, the race is between Balakrishna’s ‘Gautamiputra Satakarni’ and Chiranjeevi’s ‘‘Khaidi No. 150’. There is one more interesting film as well and it is Sharwanand’s ‘Shatamanam Bhavati’.

In Bollywood, there are three interesting releases. The first big release will be Deepika Padukone’s Hollywood debut movie ‘xXx Xander Cage’, the third in the ‘xXx’ series, coming on 14th January. The fact that Deepika is going international is creating interest on the film.
The other two big releases are Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Raees’ and Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaabil’, coming on the same day, i.e., on 25th January. There is a tough competition between the two films as both the superstars’ previous films had flopped big time. There was also an alleged clash between the two films over the release date. Let’s see which films turn out to be real winners this January.
