Nagarjuna has raised an important point about the release problems faced by smaller films like Itlu Arjuna. Speaking to the media at the Itlu Arjuna event, he explained how the film has already suffered because of multiple postponements and how another date change could create more problems for the team.
According to Nagarjuna, Itlu Arjuna was actually ready for release nearly a month ago. The team initially planned to release the film on October 2 but had to move it because a big film was scheduled for the same date. They then planned for an October 9 release, but the same film was later postponed and occupied that date as well.
The team has now locked October 30 as the release date, and Nagarjuna said he hopes there will be no more changes. He also revealed that because of the repeated postponements, most of the promotional assets prepared for the film have already been used. If the film gets postponed again, the team will have to think about what new content they can release to keep the film alive among audiences.
Interestingly, these comments came when the media asked about the buzz that Venkatesh and Trivikram’s Aadarsha Kutumbam could arrive on October 30. The film was earlier planned for October 2 and then postponed to October 9 before being pushed again. Now, October 30 is being discussed as its next possible release date.
Nagarjuna did not directly oppose Aadarsha Kutumbam releasing on that date, but his comments explain the problems smaller films face because of repeated changes in big films release plans. Itlu Arjuna was ready nearly a month ago, but the team had to change its plans more than once. With most of its promotional content already used, another postponement would leave the team with very little fresh material to keep the film in the news.
The team has now locked October 30 for Itlu Arjuna, and hopefully, the date will not change again. If Aadarsha Kutumbam also arrives on the same day, it could create another challenge for the film.
