Trivikram’s Regional Hit Crucial Before Pan-India Debut?

Trivikram God of War announcement

The long-awaited reunion of Jr NTR and Trivikram Srinivas is finally becoming a reality. After weeks of speculation, the makers announced NTRxTrivikram film.

The excitement surrounding the project is understandable. Not only does it reunite one of Telugu cinema’s most successful actor-director combinations, but it also marks Trivikram’s first full-fledged mythological drama based on Lord Kumara Swamy and his first true pan-India project.

Adding to the hype, producer Naga Vamsi built anticipation further with a grand statement on X.

“The time has come to unleash the unparalleled power of Trivikram Srinivas’ pen to the world on the grandest canvas of his career, a canvas without boundaries, without limitations.”

The announcement has naturally generated huge excitement among NTR fans.

However, alongside the celebrations, another discussion has also started on social media.

A section of movie lovers feels Trivikram has developed a habit of announcing his next big project even before completing the one currently under production.

Many users pointed out that his regional Telugu film Aadarsha Kutumbam is still being shot, yet the focus has already shifted to God of War.

One social media user wrote:

“I don’t like Trivikram working style. Sets meedha okati undagane dhani kante pedda scale lo inkoka movie announcement ivvadam. Last time Guntur Kaaram time lo Allu Arjun cinema announce chesaru… ippudu Aadarsha Kutumbam shooting jarugutunte God of War announcement. Mundu chethilo unnadhi finish cheyra Trivikram.”

Another comment compared filmmaking to cricket.

“Six kottali ante mundu wicket kapadu kovali anna.”

Several others echoed the same sentiment, saying Trivikram should first complete Aadarsha Kutumbam and then shift his complete attention towards God of War.

At the same time, many fans disagree with the criticism.

They argue that announcing a future project does not affect the ongoing shoot. Large-scale films are often planned years in advance, and making an announcement helps with pre-production, scheduling and generating excitement among audiences.

Ultimately, today’s update is expected to be one of the biggest Tollywood announcements of the year.

While the debate over Trivikram’s working style continues, there is little doubt that God of War has already become one of the most anticipated Telugu films currently in development.
