The long-awaited reunion of Jr NTR and Trivikram Srinivas is finally official.
The makers have announced God of War, a mythological epic based on Lord Kumara Swamy that also marks Trivikram’s first true pan-India project. Producer Naga Vamsi described it as the biggest vision of the director’s career, calling it “a canvas without boundaries.”
Naturally, the announcement has sent NTR fans into celebration mode.
However, it has also triggered another interesting discussion.
Many feel Aadarsha Kutumbam-AK47, which is currently under production, has quietly become one of the most important films of Trivikram’s career. Before embarking on a massive pan-India project mounted on an unprecedented scale, the director perhaps needs a strong regional success to regain his momentum completely.
The concern isn’t that announcing God of War will affect the shoot of Aadarsha Kutumbam. Large-scale films require years of planning, scripting, and pre-production, so early announcements are perfectly normal.
After Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, Trivikram was at the peak of his career. But Guntur Kaaram received a poor response and dented his reputation. Many people raised doubts even about his writing and direction. So Trivikram first has to re-establish his credibility if he wants people to have high expectations from God of War.
If AK47 emerges as a blockbuster and reminds audiences of Trivikram’s strengths as a writer and director, he will enter God of War with far greater confidence and credibility. It would also generate positive momentum before he attempts one of the most ambitious films of his career.
Trivikram has announced a massive future project while his current film is still on the floors.
