Rohit Sharma & Virat Kohli Becoming RGV

There was once a time when Ram Gopal Varma was the most celebrated director in Indian cinema. The kind of work that he put up early in his career is unparallel in so many ways. But over the years, he deteriorated and kept making trash content.

Now we are observing similar career arcs with two stars, not necessarily associated with the cinema industry, but instead with the Indian cricket scene.

The two stars are Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Both of them are exhibiting a similar carrier that is resembling RGV.

A couple of years ago, they were virtually unstoppable with exceptional performances to back up their legacy. But with the time and age, they started to slowdown, and it has now reached a point where everyone is getting embarrassed with their on field performances.

It has now reached a point where Rohit and Kohli are not even able to perform at domestic level as they put on disaster shows in the ongoing Ranji matches. Things are getting really embarrassing for the two of them.

In the case of RGV, he shined like a bright star early in his career and followed it up with colossal disasters. Had he understood he was off his game and stepped down after tasting consecutive failures, he could’ve saved his legacy. But he didn’t. The more he tried to create something out nothing, the more he failed.

A similar trend is being observed with both Kohli and Rohit now as they are looking to regain their lost sheen at the fag end of their careers. But these repeated failures are only eating into their legacy.

It is really time for them to hang up the boots and retire at a phase where they’re at least respected. Getting forced out of the team and being sacked isn’t the right way for them to end their insanely illustrious careers, it could be said.
