Two biopics on the lives of two legendary actors aka Mahanati Savithri and Sr. NTR came and audiences gave two different verdicts with regard to the box-office result of the two movies. While ‘Mahanati’ showed the real-life ups and downs of the legend, ‘NTR Kathanayakudu’ was sans controversies with a plain narrative. Done with analysing the result of ‘NTR’ and we have to move on to the next biopic on cards.
‘Lakshmi’s NTR‘ is a typical case where the director, Ram Gopal Varma is trying to bank on only controversies without delivering content-wise. In this scenario, his ‘Lakshmi’s NTR’ will be sold for peanuts and hence, the buyers will not have to invest much in the movie. However, there might be certain curiosity as the subject woven around Lakshmi Parvati itself has many controversies.
The expectations for the movie will be very less, trade wise, even. Nevertheless, the controversies may help to develop a certain interest. We never know if the curiosity surrounding the movie may help it become a success commercially. Sans expectations and filled with controversies, ‘RGV’s biopic on NTR told in the perspective of Lakshmi Parvati is a curious case, as of now. What do you think?
