Another period drama ‘Sanghamitra’ which is being publicised as bigger than ‘Baahubali’ is in the pre-production stage. Concept artist Vishwanath Sundaram who worked for the two parts of Baahubali is working for this movie, even.

He revealed that ‘Sangamithra’ will be having a number of underwater sequences in the movie and it has been challenging for the concept artist to work on this aspect as filming underwater sequences wasn’t much explored in Indian movies except for a few movies which have only one or two underwater scenes.
The poster of ‘Sangamithra’ gives enough clues that there would be quite a few underwater war sequences in the period drama. The period of ‘Sangamithra‘ is set much after ‘Baahubali’ and hence, the artist must keep many things in his mind before designing for the particular era.
Every period drama is a big challenge as the art department has to do immense homework and put in a lot of efforts to get the right milieu to make the drama look a period-specific.
