US Previews Talk: Mediocre Movie!

The Vaccine WarThe Kashmir Files director Vivek Agnihotri’s film “The Vaccine War” was showcased to Indian Americans recently during special paid screenings in multiple cities of the US.

The film tries to shed light on the remarkable achievements of Indian scientists, particularly women, in effectively combating the challenges of COVID-19 for a population of 1.4 billion.

The film’s depiction of challenges, pressures, and success reinforcing the message that ‘India can do it’ has received mixed talk from the audiences. Though the intentions are noble, as a movie, it doesn’t excite you much. The general response is that it is more of a documentary than a proper movie.

Many people also think the film aims to create a positive wave for Modi in elections 2024 by highlighting his efforts in handling the pandemic in India. It will be interesting to see if the film will help clean the BJP government’s image and aid them in winning some votes or if people will dismiss it as another propaganda film by the director.

The Vaccine War is releasing worldwide on September 28 and is clashing with Prabhas’ monstrous Salaar.
