Senior stars Rajinikanth and Chiranjeevi went head-to-head at the box office during the Independence Day week, and the results have been nothing short of surprising and shocking.
While Rajinikanth’s Jailer is emerging as a blockbuster, Chiranjeevi’s Bhola Shankar has turned out to be a massive disaster, even bigger than Acharya.
On Saturday, Jailer grossed a staggering $1,002,025 million in a single day, bringing its total gross to $3.3 million.
Meanwhile, Bhola Shankar only managed to gross a meager $41,541 on Saturday, bringing its total gross to $439K. Even Chiru’s previous disaster Acharya grossed over $90,000 on its first Saturday. Bhola is heading to become one of the biggest disasters in recent times, as the overall gross of a big star hero film is not even expected to make $500K.
In essence, this clash has resulted in a surprising blockbuster for Rajini and a colossal disaster for Chiranjeevi.
