Power Star Pawan Kalyan, Harish Shankar, and Mythri Movie Makers’ mass action entertainer Ustaad Bhagat Singh’s pre-release event was a starry affair.
At the event, director Harish Shankar delivered a heartfelt, candid speech. He confessed that the project took shape after several revisions and eliminations of ideas that didn’t satisfy him creatively. He personally took responsibility for every delay and praised producers Naveen and Ravi for trusting him with their biggest set and their unwavering support.
“Pawan Kalyan lifted me out of a low phase by giving me this opportunity. It’s a divine-like moment for me. This Ugadi belongs to Ustaad Bhagat Singh,” he said.
Pawan Kalyan followed with a deeply emotional speech that reflected his philosophy towards cinema. He said films gave him identity and a platform to serve people. He encouraged good writing and good filmmaking, stating that results were never in anyone’s control. He thanked Megastar Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, and Buchi Babu for their support and appreciation.
Pawan Kalyan highlighted the team’s relentless effort, completing most of the film in 45 days despite political commitments and schedule challenges. “Harish Shankar is a gifted writer-director who inspires me to complete the movie in such a short span. He’s a man of great potential. Harish’s dialogue writing and creative vision remain unmatched.”
He also expressed deep respect for the technicians and actors who shaped the film—DSP, Thaman, Sreeleela, Rashi Khanna, Parthiban, KS Ravikumar, and others. Pawan reiterated that despite being active in politics, cinema remains inseparable from his life. He ended by saying that entertainment must coexist with patriotism and social consciousness, and Ustaad Bhagat Singh carries exactly that blend, carefully crafted by Harish Shankar.
