Varalaxmi Sharat Kumar is a known name in the industry for two reasons. She is the daughter of senior actor and politician Sharat Kumar and Varalaxmi is also an actress who has been game for playing negative roles not waiting for heroine roles to come her way.
She revealed in an interview that though she is the daughter of a popular actor-politician, people in the film industry didn’t stop her asking for sexual favors. A few producers told her, unless she sleeps with directors and heroes, she couldn’t survive in the industry.
This is something that would leave us wondering if there is any space where a woman can be safe without asking for sexual favors trying to exploit women. Usually, we think that star kids have the advantage of getting opportunities without having to experience casting couch.
However, Varalaxmi made her way though it took longer for her get her first chance as an actress. It’s the choice one has to make whether to compromise for the sake of opportunities, opined Varalaxmi who will be soon seen in Ravi Teja’s ‘Krack’.
