The most awaited first video glimpse of Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu’s Varanasi is out, and the first impression is beyond terrific.
The video takes viewers on an incredible journey, starting with Varanasi in 512 CE, showing Asteroid Shambhavi in 2027 CE, and moving from the Ross Ice Shelf of Antarctica to Africa’s Amboseli Wilderness, Vaaranchal Ugrabhatti Cave and finally reaching Lanka Nagaram in 7200 BCE and Vaarnaasi Manikarna Ghat. It spans multiple timelines blending mythology across different places and eras.
This is the first time Rajamouli is incorporating mythology into his action and drama. While he has previously experimented with fantasy, period, and historical films, this marks his first most ambitious step in his storytelling.
The first video is nothing short of breathtaking and once again proves why Rajamouli remains unmatched in Indian filmmaking. As he himself has said, this is undoubtedly the most ambitious project of his career.
