Vidya Balan gets a rare honour

‘The Dirty Picture’ fame Vidya Balan was selected for the jury of 66th Edition of the prestigious Cannes film festival. The nine-member jury will be headed by Hollywood director Steven Spielberg. The other big names joining Spielberg are Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman, Oscar-winner Christophe Waltz, Japanese director Naomi Kawase, Scottish director Lynne Ramsay, French actor-director Daniel Auteuil and Romanian director Cristian Mungiu.

According to the statement of the film fesival website, The film fest will start on May 15. The jury will select films in competition section for the awards, which will be announced during the closing ceremony May 26.
