During the recent actors’ roundtable meeting, Malayalam actress Parvathy lashed out at ‘Arjun Reddy’ and ‘Kabir Singh’ for glorifying the misogyny and how people on social media and YouTube behave in a mob-like manner inciting violence.
When asked about her comments at the International Film Festival of India, Vijay Deverakonda said that he was irritated and disturbed for social media and media hadavidi over the issue. He loves and admires Parvathi’s work. So, why should people have to go nuts about her opinion?
He further lambasted those people who have been celebrating at his cost on social media and other media platforms. He said that he doesn’t care what social media people think about misogyny or the latest roundtable interview.
Well, Vijay Deverakonda has made his point clear. When he has no objection to his fellow actors’ dialogue about films and their opinions, why should others bother?
Fellow actors who are said to be the part of the change for the decade were discussing their opinions and it the question about misogyny came up, organically.
