Veera Dheera Sooran

Chiyaan Vikram’s much-anticipated film Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2 has been hit with a major setback. The Delhi High Court has stalled the film’s release by four weeks, leaving fans in shock.

The decision came following a case filed by Mumbai-based B4U over an alleged dispute regarding OTT rights. The court has also directed the film’s producer to deposit 7 crores and submit necessary documents within 48 hours.

Due to the legal battle, morning and afternoon shows were canceled across India. The film’s US premieres were also scrapped. Veera Dheera Sooran 2 was set to clash with Salman Khan’s Sikandar, L2: Empuraan, Robinhood, and Mad 2 on March 27, 2025. The film’s makers are now exploring legal options, hoping for a quick resolution.

Interestingly, the film had zero buzz before release and was heading towards a box office disaster. However, this controversy has given it some unexpected publicity. The delay might actually help the makers promote the film better and avoid clashing with biggies like Sikandar, L2: Empuraan, Robinhood, and Mad 2.

Directed by SU Arun Kumar, the film also stars SJ Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Dushara Vijayan. Music is composed by GV Prakash Kumar. With its release now uncertain, it has to be seen when Vikram’s Veera Dheera Sooran 2 will finally hit the screens.
