M9 News Journalist Nishant sat with Director Sampath Nandi ahead of the release of his Odela 2 on April 17th. Sampath Nandi is the writer of the film which has Tamannah in the main lead.
“Odela first part is a Crime Thriller. I started the second part with the same intention. But it is the will of Lord Shiva to direct me in writing this script. My wife lost her father at eleven. She took the path of Spirituality since then. I got influenced by her and became religious,” Sampath Nandi says.
We asked how he cast a commercial heroine like Tamannah as Shiva Shakthi.
We also pointed out how her walking style, skin tone, and dialogue delivery still appeared like a commercial heroine in the trailer and Sampath Nandi came up with an interesting answer.
He refused to accept that he included dialogues on cows to milk the Hindi market.
Sampath Nandi went on to say that OTT market conditions and Budget constraints prompted to shelve Ganja Shankar with Sai Dharam Tej.
He went on to say how he was able to make Racha with Ram Charan even though his first film, Emaindhi Eevela was criticized as a Vulgar movie.
About the popular song, Vaana Vaana song from Racha which is very popular for Tamannah’s glamour show, Sampath Nandi said he has evolved and will not do such songs going forward.
