Pushpa 2 is out in theaters now and it has opened on a massive note at the box office thanks to impressive advance bookings and the high ticket prices.
Coming to the topic now, here is one interesting observation that is going on surrounding Pushpa 2 and it has something to do with Anirudh.

There are several elevation blocks in Pushpa 2 that have immense mass appeal. The BGM for the same is adequate enough, albeit not exemplary of praiseworthy.
Now, it we reimagine the same scenes with Anirudh’s pilot tracks, things could shape up completely differently.

Anirudh has a very peculiar style of composing popular music for intense bits. This was earlier seen in NTR’s Devara as well. He almost single handedly saved the film along with NTR. His work was very good.
Now, in the case of Pushpa 2, there are more engaging commercial episodes that could make do with a stellar soundtrack.

It is a fact that Anirudh hadn’t worked on something this intense and scaled up till now as he mostly did urbane albums and soundtracks. Blending the raw and ruggedness for Pushpa 2 might have challenged him and brought out the lesser known side.
It would have been very interesting to see Anirudh’s work for a rugged actioner like Pushpa 2 but guess we will never know how it could have been.
