Show me one star hero film in the recent past without an item song? All recent star films such as Baadshah, Naayak, Mirchi, Ongole Githa, Jabardasth, Gundello Godari, Shadow, and Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde had item numbers. What is the reason? There is no particular reason because most of these songs are included just to keep the audiences engaged.

Can we not make film without items songs? Is it because all star films should at least have few fight sequences, comedy and few songs, including an item number featuring a hot bimbo? If this is our definition of filmmaking, then something is seriously wrong with us.
We need to look at making films with no songs if needed and should stop using women as some object of entertainment in item numbers.
