Junaid Khan, the son of Aamir Khan, is gearing up for his Bollywood debut with YRF’s upcoming film, ‘Maharaja.’ Reportedly, he has already started working on his next project.
This yet-to-be-titled film, directed by Sunil Pandey, is a supernatural love story and features none other than the super-talented Sai Pallavi as the leading lady.
The film is an Indian remake of the 2016 Thai romantic drama ‘One Day,’ a movie that captured Aamir Khan’s fascination.
Sai Pallavi has finally okayed a script after a long gap. Though the film sounds promising on paper, the remake factor might work against it. Junaid Khan’s first film hasn’t been released yet, so it won’t be right to comment on his talent. So Sai Pallavi banking on a newcomer to make her big Bollywood debut seems shaky.
If sources are to be believed, Sai Pallavi was offered the role of Sita opposite Ranbir Kapor in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. That would have been a fantastic debut for an actress as talented as Sai Pallavi.
Sai Pallavi is playing a big gamble by accepting this love story remake film opposite Junaid Khan. Let’s hope her gamble pays off in a big way.
