
Kuberaa, starring Dhanush, Nagarjuna, and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles and directed by Sekhar Kammula, was released in theatres on June 20th and has received positive responses from audiences and critics.
Even though Kuberaa is a bilingual movie shot in Tamil and Telugu, Telugu audiences are showering it with positive responses, whereas Tamil audiences are sharing mixed responses.

According to reports, Kuberaa has collected 100 crores worldwide in just 4 days and in the overall collection, the Telugu version contributed 70%, while the Tamil version contributed only 30%.
Following the mixed reviews for Kuberaa, many netizens are responding that Tamil audiences are nowadays becoming worse, as they only celebrate mass commercial movies like Good Bad Ugly and are neglecting content-oriented movies like Kuberaa.

At the same time, many Dhanush fans on social media are responding that, due to the mixed reviews for Kuberaa, many Tamil audiences are not showing interest in watching Kuberaa in theatres.
However, they are hoping that when it comes to OTT, they will celebrate it for sure and will feel that they missed watching a good movie in theatres.

Kuberaa’s OTT rights have been acquired by Amazon Prime Video, and most probably the movie will start streaming from the third or fourth week of July, as the team has signed the OTT deal with a 4-week OTT window.
It remains to be seen whether Tamil audiences celebrate Kuberaa after its OTT release or if they will ditch the movie on OTT too upon its release.
