Karthi and Rakul Preet Singh’s Valentine Day’s outing ‘Dev’ didn’t receive a warm reception from not only the Tamil audiences but also Telugu audiences. There were several problems and issues that were responsible but the makers chose to redeem at least one.
The lengthy run time of the movie was said to be one of the reasons why the movie seemed to be boring and impressive. So, the makers chose to trim the film and reduce the run time. It was more than two and a half hours earlier and they had decreased it by 15 minutes to look crispier.
As we know that the word of mouth was already out and therefore, one must wait and see if this trimming would help the movie. The Tamil version of ‘Dev’ is running with a poor talk while the Telugu version failed miserably. Trimming a movie after the theatrical release seldom helped the makers.
