World Of Rao Bahadur

Satya Dev and Venkatesh Maha’s second film together Rao Bahadur is up for release on July 3rd, and the movie is making huge noise. Superstar Mahesh Babu who is presenting the movie spoke highly of the output, while director Sukumar who watched special screening was awestruck by the content.

“I was just wondering, what is this man doing after making a film like C/o Kancharapalem? I happened to message him, and he said, ‘Bro, I have a story.’ He had been wanting to make it for the past five years.”

Anurag said what struck him immediately was not just the story itself but Venkatesh Maha’s solid belief in it. He felt the story carried universal emotions that could touch audiences anywhere in the world, making it far more than just another regional film.

Satya Dev echoed the producer’s excitement, saying the project challenged his own imagination. “How did someone visualize and conceptualize something like this? The first reaction anybody will have is that the leader of this team is a madman, a dreamer who’s obsessed with the love of films.”

He believes Rao Bahadur will stand apart because of the scale of its world-building and the freshness of its visual presentation, making it a theatrical experience that demands to be seen on the big screen.

Director Venkatesh Maha revealed that despite its grand visual canvas, the film is deeply rooted in the protagonist’s psychological journey. “The spectacle comes from the protagonist’s internal world. Rao Bahadur, his story, and his psychology became the tools through which I built this universe.”

Venkatesh Maha also shared his larger ambition of taking Telugu cinema to global audiences through bold and original storytelling.
