With the way PK performed at the box office and the way it was received by the critics many thought that the film will be a natural choice for many awards, com the awards season. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case with the biggest awards that were announced recently.
The winners of Filmfare Awards, arguably the best of the lot, were announced recently and PK managed to get only two awards for writing. It did not get any acting awards neither the ‘Best film’ as many had expected. The big winner was Queen starring Kangana Ranaut and Haider. Both went on to win the Best actor awards respectively in their categories. In fact both the films went on to win ton’s of other awards as well completely overshadowing PK.
Of course if one were going by the history of these awards with respect to Aamir Khan such expectations would have looked foolhardy to begin with.
