Nayanthara had previously delivered a thumping horror thriller with director Ashwin Saravanan. The duo is now back with another film – Connect and the trailer of the same was unveiled a short while ago.
The trailer opens in the timeline of a day before the national lockdown due to Covid. This is when things go wrong in Nayan’s family as her daughter Ammu gets possessed by an evil spirit.
There are multiple horror shots in the trailer and especially the one towards the end will leave us thriller. It is clear that the director Ashwin and Nayanthara are coming with another terrifying horror thriller.
The background score and the cinematography have a new feel. The sound designing also looks new-age, giving a new feel. It should be interesting to witness this on the big screens.
Then there’s the exorcism part with Anupam Kher and this is one of the first South Indian films with this concept. In another first, the film doesn’t have an interval and it is a 99-minute ride of horror and thrills.
The film is being released by UV Creations in Telugu. It is up for release on the 22nd of December. The film is being promoted as a true blue horror thriller.
