Virat Karrna is debuting with the new-age political thriller where he will be seen as a common man who faces many challenges in his attempt to challenge powerful people in society. Directed by Srikanth Addala and produced by Miryala Ravinder Reddy, the movie is up for release on September 29th.
Virat informs that Srikanth got the confidence in him to do an action film, after seeing his showreel that was an actioner. “Srikanth Addala narrated a love story, along with the story of Peddha Kapu. I thought this action story would be good for me. It’s an actioner set in a rural backdrop. We had done an intense workshop, before starting the shoot.”
The young hero affirms that Peddha Kapu wouldn’t be made on a grand scale, if Miryala Ravinder Reddy wasn’t the producer for the movie. “We wouldn’t have made the movie on such a big scale with another producer. From the first day, I was afraid that they were spending so much on me. I could perform well with that fear.”
The action part in the movie is said to be one of the major attractions. “The action sequences in the movie were designed in a natural manner. They looked raw and rustic even in the trailer. Peter Heine master gave unlimited dates for this movie. Peddha Kapu-1 is like a rebirth for everyone who associated with the project.”
Virat Karrna also expressed his interest in doing a pure love story in Gautam Menen style.
