The movie Thandel starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi is based on real-life incidents, though the movie directed by Chandoo Mondeti will have the emotions and situations between the two lovers which are said to surpass even the most thrilling fictional tales.

The movie set in a rural backdrop will highlight the culture of Srikakulam. To emphasize the culture, they shot a song in the backdrop of Sri Mukhalingam Temple. This song shot on Naga Chaitanya, Sai Pallavi and thousands of dancers is said to take the audience on a spiritual journey.
The working stills show Naga Chaitanya, Sai Pallavi in the iconic Shiva Thandavam pose, surrounded by a group of people celebrating the Shivaratri in front of the Temple set.
