Women across the nation are advancing in various domains, showcasing their capabilities and achieving parity with men. According to a report, there is a huge surge in the recruitment of female freshers in 2023.
As per the data, several corporate organisations reported an increase in the placements of female freshers last year. A report by GetWork stated that the recruitment of female freshers grew by 116% YoY in 2023.
Female students from tier-2 and tier-3 colleges secured more jobs in campus placements in 2023 than in 2022 and 2021. A total of 5012 female freshers were placed in various corporate companies in 2023. On the other side, 2318 female freshers secured jobs in 2022 and 337 in 2021.
Most of the women secured jobs in roles like Human Resources (HR), Software Development Executive and Operations Executive. There is also a significant growth in female freshers’ recruitment in BPOs and BFSI (Banking, Financial Services and Insurance) sectors.
