ACB Court in Vijayawada has awarded 14 Days of Judicial Remand for Former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. After listening to the arguments of both sides for around 8 hours, the judge took around 4 hours to deliver the judgment.
Supreme Court Senior Advocate Siddharth Luthra argued on behalf of Chandrababu. Additional AG Ponnavolu Sudhakar argued on behalf of CID.
Finally, Judge Himabindu awarded 14 days of Judicial remand. Chandrababu will spend the next 14 days in Rajahmundry Central Jail.
The court opined that the permission of the Governor is not necessary and the permission of the Speaker is sufficient.
CID will now ask the court for the Police Custody of Chandrababu for questioning.
TDP Legal team will knock on the door of the High Court for bail and it has to be seen how the court will deal with it.
