In a shocking revelation, Hyderabad police busted a rampant milk adulteration racket.

The arrest of Pxxxxx Reddy (40) and his two accomplices uncovered a dangerous scheme. Reddy, sourcing milk from HF cows at Rs. 50 per liter, diluted it with water, and added ammonia sulfate for density.

This concoction, packaged and distributed in Habeeb Nagar and Mehdipatnam, posed severe health risks.

Seizing 80 liters of tainted milk, stored in two 40-liter tins, and 15 one-liter milk packets, authorities also confiscated damning evidence including ammonium sulfate liquid, Kesar Yellow color, a sealing machine, and empty covers.

Investigations uncovered Reddy’s illicit operation spanning several years. He procured milk from cows in Gaddiannaram, Dilshuknagar, diluted it with water, and added ammonium sulfate and Kesar yellow color to manipulate lactometer readings.

The adulterated milk, distributed in Habeeb Nagar and Mehdipatnam, posed grave health risks.

This egregious act prompted the police to register a case against Reddy under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. This expose underscores the urgent need for strict measures to safeguard public health from such insidious practices.
