Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu is widely credited for catapulting the IT revolution in Hyderabad during his time as the CM of United Andhra. He gained the image of a tech savvy politician since then.

And even at the right age of 76, Chandrababu is continuing to maintain this tech savvy attitude as he scripted history by launching the quantum research facility in Amaravati today.

Just a few minutes back, the Andhra Pradesh chief minister launched the quantum reference facility in the heartland city of Amaravati and this happens to be the first such research establishment in India.

This research facility will offer extensive infrastructure and framework for domestic testing and characterisation of the quantum computing and reduce dependency on foreign sources. This is going to set the way for the Indian quantum computing future.

Chandrababu had already launched an ambitious project regarding quantum computing in Amaravati as he wishes to develop the city as the quantum hub of India. Now a big step has been taken in this direction with the launch of the reference and research facility.

The smart thing here is that Chandrababu is equal equally inviting international quantum computing establishments while also developing domestic and indigenous technologies to ensure overall progress.
