In their bid to expand base in Andhra Pradesh, BJP organized its first Public meeting in Rajamahendravaram a short while ago. Amit Shah, BJP’s National President attended the event along with some Union Ministers. Amit Shah announced his intentions straight away by saying that he came there to explain what the central government is doing to the state.

However Amit Shah tried his level best to cover up the the poor allocations of the center to the state. Amit Shah announced that the center gave an assistance of 1.6 Lakh Crore to the state till now. Amit Shah included all the devolution of Central incomes and Share in Central taxes in arriving at this number. This is a right to every state in the country and can not be called as assistance to the state. Further there is no mention about Special Status, Special Package, Railway Zone, Assistance to Amaravathi construction and Covering up of Revenue deficit which are crucial for the state.
Amit Shah claimed that Center is committed to Polavaram. He went on to say if some one is saying all the funds needed for Polavaram can be given in one budget, that means they are cheating the people. But at the same time, Amit Shah could not explain how 100 Crore per year will help the 30000 Crore project to complete. Amit Shah also said Center had announced 65000 Crore Road Projects to the state while in this budget, the total allocation for all roads in the state is just 55000 Crore. Amit Shah also listed out several educational institutions given by the center, but could not tell about the allocations center made to complete those. Its high time BJP realize they are treading the same path as Congress by confining to words and living far from actions.
